Maserati and Carrozzeria Touring combine to produce classy Bellagio estate.

Is this the most stylish estate on the planet? Called the Bellagio Fast-back, the exclusive load-lugger is based on Maserati’s luxurious Quattroporte – and was coachbuilt by the Italian styling house famous for inventing the Superleggera.

The classy estate was unveiled at the Villa d’Este classic car show in Italy – and it proves you can have stunning looks and practicality in the same package. Super-rich motorists will be able to buy a Bellagio themselves, as maker Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera will build cars to order.

The rejuvenated Italian company is based in Milan but owned by Dutch group Zeta Europe BV. It’s best known for its conception of the Superleggera, or super light, construction method, used in motor racing in the Fifties. Designers there are also currently working on a new sports car, which promises to be a real featherweight.

However, the Quattroporte Bellagio Fastback isn’t the first estate version of the Maserati. As we revealed in Issue 1,000, a businessman has commissioned another Italian coachbuilder, StudioM, to produce a load-lugger variant. It’s called Cinqueporte – Italian for five-door.
