The Audi TT is now more affordable than ever! A new entry-level version fitted with a 1.8 TFSI engine will undercut the current cheapest model by £2,000. But it’s no slouch, as the turbocharged, direct-injection unit delivers 158bhp, propelling the front-wheel-drive TT to 140mph, and from 0-60mph in 7.2 seconds.

It’s also more fuel-efficient than the rest of the range, giving 35mpg in Coupé form. The new model will cost around £22,000 when it reaches the UK later this year, and is available as both a hard-top and a roadster. The 2.0 TFSI will also now be available with quattro all-wheel-drive, coupled with the group’s S tronic dual-clutch gearbox for a smoother power delivery than before.
