Extra kit at no extra cost – that’s what Saab is offering with two new versions of its flagship 9-5 range.

The cheaper of the pair is the Turbo Edition, which has a choice of three engines; a 1.9-litre TiD diesel, plus 2.0t and 2.3t petrols. Standard features include 17-inch alloys, heated leather front and rear sport seats, an electric driver’s chair and headlight washers. It’s available as a saloon and estate, and with manual or auto transmission. Prices start at £19,995.

For drivers seeking extra thrills, there’s also the 9-5 Aero Turbo Edition. It has the 2.3t engine, goes from 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds and also comes as an estate or saloon. Kit includes sat-nav, performance brakes and a sport chassis. It costs from £24,995.
