There's no need to haggle with Renault. It’s promising a no-quibble, no-discount policy when it launches its Dacia budget brand in the UK next year. The firm says the Dacia Sandero hatchback will start at “well under” £7,000 – and that’s as low as it can go.
A set-price policy helped Daewoo (now Chevrolet) shift 33,000 cars in 18 months in the Nineties. The Sandero replaces the Clio Campus as Renault’s budget car when the supermini bows out at the end of this year.
