Maserati has added even more style to its flagship Quattroporte saloon! These are the first official pictures of the Italian luxury limo, and as you can see it's taken some tips from its stunning younger brother, the GranTurismo coupe.

Styling changes include a GranTurismo style front grille and sharper front and rear lights - both of which now incorporate LEDs. Down the flanks the under-door moulding is more noticeable, with a strong shoulder line that runs into revised bumpers. The door mirrors are new too, with a more dynamic shape and a more streamlined mounting to the door.

The cabin features a more user-friendly central console as well as a revised, more intuitive Maserati Multimedia System.

The updated Quattroporte will also be joined by the sportier Quattroporte S, the former fitted with the familiar 4.2-litre 400bhp V8 engine, while the latter adopts the new 4.7-litre 430bhp V8 recently introduced on the GranTurismo S. Both cars feature the 6-speed automatic transmission developed in association with ZF.

The new Quattroporte goes on sale in October, but Auto Express will get behind the wheel very shortly to tell you whether the changes are a hit or a miss, so keep coming back.
