Chevrolet has lifted the lid a little more on its 2010 Camaro.
It’s been only a few months since owner General Motors released teaser pictures of the pre-production Camaro coupé.
Now, in response to the positive public reaction, the American manufacturer has decided to give enthusiasts
a sneak preview of the convertible version, too. And thankfully, it appears the cut-down soft-top won’t lose any of the bold styling seen on the coupé.
As with its fixed-roof stablemate, the rag-top is currently undergoing a series of gruelling tests to ensure
it will be ready for full production late next year in the States. The convertible is expected to be equipped
with a similar engine to the coupé concept. That car featured a 6.0-litre V8, delivering 400bhp to the back wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. It also had independent rear suspension.
Both versions of the Camaro will be available in the US late next year, with right-hand-drive variants expected to reach UK showrooms in 2010.
