Maserati has added even more style to its Quattroporte. These pictures show designers have taken some tips from the GranTurismo coupé to give the saloon a mid-life facelift.
What’s more, the two-door has donated its 4.7-litre V8 to a new sporty version. This produces 430bhp, and is linked to a six-speed automatic transmission. The new variant will be badged Quattroporte S, and sits above the standard car, which retains the 4.2-litre 400bhp eight-cylinder engine.
Both models benefit from a revamped, GranTurismo-style grille complete with vertical slats. There are also sharper front and rear lights, both of which now incorporate LEDs. Down the flanks, the under-door moulding is now more noticeable, with a strong shoulder line that runs into the revised bumpers.
Interior changes include a new central console, with the instruments sited closer together, and a more intuitive Maserati Multimedia System.
Prices start from around £79,000 for the standard car – an increase of £2,000 over the outgoing model – while the S weighs in at £85,000. Buyers can place their orders now, but the Quattroporte won’t hit showrooms until October.
