ALFA Romeo turned glamour and style up to the max with the show debut of the landmark MiTo.
Photographers found themselves fighting their way through the crowds to get a shot of not one but two cars on display at the 2008 British International Motor Show. This is the first time the sporty supermini has appeared in the UK
“British car buyers love sporty models more than in other countries,” said Alfa Romeo marketing director Sergio Cravero. "So we are particularly proud to unveil the MiTo today."
But the new MiTo had to fight for attention with the gorgeous white drop-top 8C Spider, which was also present on the Alfa Romeo stand. It's one of only 250 to be built.
So far the company has taken 1,300 orders for the supercar, but only 50 lucky people from this country will take ownership by the end of next year. Other hot metal on display included a white Brera Spider, plus a GT coupe and 159 Ti saloon both in an exclusive metallic red.
