Slimline nav is a top pic

Garmin Nuvi Slimline Satnav

Sat-nav systems are cramming more and more into their ever-smaller packages. And the latest range from guidance expert Garmin is no different.

The Nüvi 205 Series has an impressive list of features packed into a slimline casing. One highlight is the Photo Connect picture sharing facility. It’s powered by Google Maps and allows users to upload images of destinations and place them in the correct location on an online map.

Users can then log on, download the photos and destination details to their own Garmin device without the need for the full address. The whole range comes with safety camera data, which will also warn you of accident hotspots and other hazards. The device even alerts you if you stray over the posted speed limit.

All models have a 3.5-inch colour screen plus UK and Ireland street level mapping, while the 205W has a 4.3-inch display and European maps. The systems include compact windscreen mounts, home and in-car chargers, and are available exclusively from Halfords stores.
