It’s not only Audi which is doing some sprucing up this summer – Porsche is, too! The Boxster S and Cayman S have both been given special treatment to create these two new spin-offs. Badged Design Edition 2, the Boxster S gets Carrera White paint and grey racing stripes. The red tail-lights come from the RS60 limited edition, while the 19-inch alloys, side air intakes, centre console and dials are all white. The car also comes with a man’s wristwatch – and needless to say, it’s white, too.
Porsche currently has no plans to bring the Boxster S Design Edition 2 to the UK – but the Cayman S Sport will definitely make it here. We revealed the look of the new coupé in Issue 1,023, and now Porsche has unveiled its interior. It gets a suede-covered GT3-style steering wheel and gearlever, plus leather sports seats. The Sport will be priced at £49,890, which is £5,730 more than the standard model. Exhaust tweaks give the 303bhp 3.4-litre flat-six an 8bhp power boost, while Porsche’s Active Suspension Management system, which lowers the car by 10mm, is standard. Wheel spacers widen the track by 5mm, too.
