Honda Insight hybrid

Here’s the Honda that will bring hybrid motoring to the masses! This is the first official shot of what Honda is calling its affordable family hybrid car and it has its sights set on Toyota’s Prius.

Called the Insight, it revives the name from the 1999 Insight coupe - the first production hybrid to be sold in Europe. And this car looks set to break new ground too.

Based on an entirely new platform, the Insight will be more compact than the current Civic Hybrid, offer the practicality of a five-door family hatch and be priced lower than any hybrid on the market.
