Here’s a glimpse of SEAT’s all-new Ford Mondeo-rivalling saloon. It’s called the Exeo, (pronounced ‘Ex-ay-o’), which is Latin for ‘I depart’.
And the Spanish firm has certainly headed off in a new direction with the marketing. Not only has it released the teaser shots seen here, but SEAT Netherlands has set up a dedicated website with a clock counting down to the car’s unveiling at the Paris Motor Show this week!
We’ve already featured design sketches and images leaked from the EU patent office (Issue 1,028), but these are the first official close-ups of the car in the metal.
The Exeo is based heavily on the last-generation Audi A4, which is evident from the curve of the bonnet and the sharp crease running from the top of the headlights along the sides. However, a trademark grille and swept-back headlights give this car its family identity.
SEAT isn’t very experienced in Mondeo territory. However, it looks as if this could be the new model that keeps the firm in touch with the competition.
