Take a stop off at Land Rover’s Paris show stand and you'll see that the firm’s greenest Freelander ever is ready to start!
While the maker has no all-new models to display, the Freelander Td4_e has taken centre stage. With emissions of 179g/km, the stop-start model automatically cuts out when it comes to a standstill. The system is similar to that offered by BMW and Citroen, and is intended to offer a greener alternative to conventional SUVs.
Set to go on sale in the UK early next year, the Td4_e will effectively replace the manual version. It’s not expected to be any more costly than the standard, entry level variant, though.
