Bond’s wrecks appeal

Buyer pays £200,000 for Aston Martin DBS which was wrecked during filming of the latest Bond movie

17th October 2008

A diehard James Bond fan has reportedly shelled out £200,000 for a DBS... that doesn’t work! The car in question cost £37,500 more than the list price, but it’s not just a random wreck. It’s the model written off by an Aston engineer during filming of the latest Bond epic – Quantum of Solace – which opens on 31 October.

This particular Aston is one of six DBS models that were used to make the movie. It met its fate when its driver lost control and speared through a barrier into an Italian lake.
