As bosses took the wraps off the new MINI E, engineers were testing the Crossman off-roader. Following the concept’s Paris Motor Show debut, our spies have snapped the 4x4 on the road for the first time.
And despite the psychedelic yellow camouflage, we can see the beefy body and jacked-up stance. The swept-back lights are clearly here to stay, as MINI has tried to disguise them, too.
Aimed at motorists looking to downsize from big off-roaders, the car will be a full five-door, but gets a unique side-hinged door at the rear. The Crossman seats only four, although each chair will tilt and slide. When it arrives in 2010, engines will be shared with the hatchback.
