Supercar club crashes

Continental GTC among cars on offer to members of Segrave club – but the firm has gone bust.

It had been touted as the smart way to drive dream vehicles. But one of the most exclusive supercar clubs in the UK has been forced to call in the administrator.

Members of the Segrave club, based in London’s trendy Knightsbridge, had access to a fleet of the world’s fastest models, such as Bentley’s £132,500 Continental GTC, for a yearly fee. A spokesman said: “Our target market is predominantly City bankers, and our sources of funding are also City based. Both of these areas have dried up completely in recent weeks due to the state of the economy.â€
