Pumps put best foot forward

Cigarette lighter-powered tyre inflators are all the rage, but Metro’s new foot pumps take a back-to-basics approach. The £4.99 base model has two rubber feet, a non-slip pedal and a pressure gauge. For £5 more, the Heavy Duty (right) has four feet, a moveable target pressure pointer and three nozzle adaptors. A powder-coated surface should withstand knocks.
