Nissan's new Cube proves that it is hip to be square!

Cube revealed

19th November 2008

Say hello to L.A's most wanted, crowds at the unveiling of the new Nissan Cube proved that it really is hip to be square at this year's spectacular.

The five door model, which gets a distinctive interior as well as a brand new chassis was mobbed after its unveiling.

The new Cube retains the asymmetrical body and side-hinged tailgate, but now comes with 1.6-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel power.

As with the Citroen Berlingo and Renault Kangoo, the Cube is about the same length as supermini, but has a huge interior, thanks to its tall roof.

Inside, the dash curls around the driver, and the roof has a distinctive wave pattern moulded into it.

At the rear the Cube has a sliding bench to improve versatility while a large sunroof gives an airy feel. A price tag of around £11,000 is expected when it goes on sale in November.
