These are the first official pictures of the all-new Mazda3 five-door hatch! A four-door saloon version was unveiled at last week’s LA motor show, but Mazda has chosen next week’s Bologna expo to reveal the more European-orientated version of the 3.
Sharing its underpinnings with the Ford Focus hatch, it promises to be just a sharp to drive as it looks. In fact we’ve already been behind the wheel of a heavily disguised prototype – read about our first impressions of the Mazda3 prototype.
Under the bonnet the Mazda will feature the same 2.2-litre diesel that recently debuted on the Mazda 6 – available in a range of tunes up to 180bhp – as well as a range of direct-injection petrol units.
