Ronaldo involved in Ferrari write off

Manchester United footballer Christiano Ronaldo walks away from high speed crash in his Ferrari 599.

It has emerged that 23-year-old Manchester United footballer Christiano Ronaldo was involved in a crash earlier today in a tunnel on the A538 Altrincham Road near Manchester airport at around 10:15AM.

Ronaldo was the only peson involved in the crash and an eyewitness said she saw the speeding car drive straight into the tunnel wall before losing its front left wheel. The £200,000 Ferrari 599 was a write off.

Team member and goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar is reported to have been following close behind in his Bentley, but was not involved in the accident.

Apart from being shaken up, sources at Manchester United football club confirmed Ronaldo walked away from the accident unharmed.
