Brit GP venue starts work for 2010 event

14th January 2009

The green light has been given for Donington Park to prepare for its hosting of the British Grand Prix in 2010. Bosses at the Leicestershire circuit received planning permission from the local council last week, allowing them to start major rebuilding work at the site.

The £100million project will include a new pit and paddock on the main straight, reprofiling of the existing track with sweeping new bends and a raft of safety improvements to bring it up to modern F1 standards.
