Modified XFR becomes fastest Jag ever

Super Jag blasts it way into the record books.

XFR

13th January 2009

Here's proof that the XFR is the fastest Jaguar ever!

This special edition version of the flagship was given a host of upgrades, including an ECU upgrade to 600bhp, to help it break jaguar's previous record of 217.1mph set in the Jaguar XJ220 in 1992. Unbelievably, this modified family saloon hit a top speed of 225.675mph at the Bonneville salt flats in Utah.

Changes that made this possible included a huge rear wing, a revised air intake and exhaust system, plus a more powerful supercharger enabling the extra power to be unleashed.

Rumours have already began circulating that this could be the platform for a future XFR S limited edition...
