IF you want to use your phone legally when you’re driving, you need a hands-free kit. And while there are plenty of devices on the market, the new Visor Go from SuperTooth is one of the least obtrusive options.
As the name suggests, it mounts on your car’s sun visor. The device incorporates voice recognition technology, which can be used for answering and making calls, while DSP noise and echo cancellation ensures excellent clarity at all times.
Each time you get into the vehicle, the system will automatically re-connect with your phone, and thanks to the multi-point function a number of different mobiles can be paired at any one time.
If you want to listen to music stored on your Bluetooth device, the Visor Go supports A2DP technology, which allows tunes to be streamed wirelessly.
The unit is charged using the supplied in-car power lead, which connects to the cigarette lighter socket. If you’re not a fan of messy trailing wires, you can buy a separate USB cable and plug in at home to power up before you set off. Three hours’ charging provides up to 800 hours on standby, plus as much as 15 hours’ talk time. What’s more, it fixes to the visor with a magnetic clip, so attaching and removing the device couldn’t be easier – ideal if you want to keep it safe from opportunist thieves when it’s not in use.
