British tin-top ace James Thompson is continuing his search for a race seat in this season’s British Touring Car Championship, which blasts back into action in April.
The Yorkshire-based driver has tested a BMW 3-Series for the Motorbase outfit, following recent evaluations for Team Dynamics and the new Tempus Chevrolet squad.
Since 2005, the two-time BTCC title holder has been competing in the World Touring Car Championship, netting four wins. However, he was forced to abandon the world stage after his N. Technology outfit was unable to secure financial backing from Honda to run its Accord again during the 2009 WTCC campaign.
