This raging bull gives you wings! The new Murciélago LP 670-4 SV is the pinnacle of the Lamborghini range, and gets a huge rear spoiler and a new, lightweight body.
It’s based on the LP 640, but as the name suggests, the 6.5-litre V12 has been tweaked to deliver 670bhp. The unit also provides 600Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, which is transmitted through a beefed-up version of the four-wheel-drive system to propel the newcomer from 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds. That’s two-tenths faster than the standard Murciélago.
The extra pace has as much to do with weight savings as the power hike, though. The car tips the scales at 100kg less than the LP 640, due to extensive use of carbon fibre in the panels and mechanicals. There’s also an all-new ultra-light exhaust system, complete with a wider tailpipe for an even louder sound. The SV debuts at Geneva, with deliveries starting in the summer. Prices are expected to be in excess of £250,000.
