New four door supercar from Swedish maker Koenigsegg reveals shocking secret

Swedish firm Koenigsegg is known for its amazing supercars, but the maker has unveiled a model with electrifying performance of a different kind…

Take a look at the Quant concept car, which gives the first glimpse of a new Koenigsegg high-performance luxury saloon. The 171mph model has a thin photovoltaic coating all over its bodywork to harness the sun’s energy. Producing 512bhp and 715Nm of torque, the Quant sprints from 0-62mph in 5.2 seconds.

The company claims the model can be fully charged using a high voltage output in only 20 minutes, and it has a maximum range of around 310 miles.

While only the exterior shape was revealed on the stand, Koenigsegg claims that the Quant will have two gullwing doors and 450 litres of boot space.
