Who needs designer clothes when you can have a designer car! Porsche is expanding its range of Design Edition vehicles that already includes Cayman S and Boxster S, by giving the Cayenne GTS the Saville Row treatment.
The makeover is courtesy of the Porsche Design studio in Austria – the product design arm of the company responsible for creating everything from kitchens to top-end mobile phones.
The Cayenne GTS Porsche Design Edition 3 is marked out by its Lava Grey paintwork highlighted with matte-black stripes on the bonnet and flanks and 21-inch alloys co-ordinated to match the exterior colour.
Inside the cabin, the electrically adjustable and heavily-bolstered seats are draped in black leather and Alcantara trim, while the ‘Porsche Design Editiion 3’ logo appears on the rev counter, door sills and in the glove compartment on a specially-engraved plaque.
Competing for aural domination is 14-speaked Bose sound system and the standard-fit sports exhaust , but under the bonnet it’s business as usual. The 405bhp 4.8-litre V8 coupled to the six-speed Tiptronic S transmission is untouched – that means 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 156mph.
Priced at £64,753 the Cayenne GTS Porsche Design Edition 3 is available as a special order from May, and will be limited to 1,000 units worldwide. Included in the price however, is a Porsche design Chronograph made to match each car and a four-piece luggage set, so you can travel in style whether you’re in your car or not.
