Bespoke Corvettes set to get 999 on dial!

Extra 494bhp option for already rapid Chevys

By Rob Young

09th April 2009

Meet the custom Corvette aiming to strike a 999bhp hammer blow!

Developed by American tuner Mallett Cars and Dutch designer Ugur Sahin, the USD Mallett Z03 gets a stylish new carbon fibre body that can be fitted to either of Chevy’s Z06 or C6 models.

Power is pushed from 505bhp to a mighty 999bhp by adding twin turbos to Chevy’s 7.0-litre V8. For each of the 100 cars produced, the carbon fibre body upgrade will cost £47,000, while a further £24,000 premium is placed on the twin turbos – all of which will be paid on top of the donor Corvette price.
