The Vectra has never quite captured the hearts of owners, and it’s still at the wrong end of the Driver Power 100. While
practicality is good, it's hard to drive and handles poorly. But this does give the new Insignia room for improvement in 2010.
97. Toyota Aygo
Cheap to run and also pretty reliable and easy to drive. But for those
looking for a more rounded package, the Aygo falls short in terms of
performance and ride, while the handling, comfort, braking and
practicality could be better, too.
98. Volkswagen Polo
It has the brand image so many supermini buyers desire, but is the
Polo a letdown for owners? On this showing it suggests customers are
becoming increasingly dissatisfied...
99. MINI One/Cooper/S (Old)
Given the fanaticism that goes with MINI ownership, it's puzzling to
find the original version of BMW's baby at the wrong end of the Driver
Power 100. You told us the ride is dismal, and that practicality
is just as poor. And while seventh in the handling class will ring true
with many owners, 81st for reliability is far from impressive from a
BMW group product.
100. Land Rover Discovery (Old)
Having spent the past four years in the bottom 10, the old-shape Disco
has finally scooped the dubious honour of being the UK's least
satisfying car to own. Owners told us that it is unreliable, awkward to
drive and painfully slow.
