Shipshape Norfolk Car Wash tested

Everyone wants good value for money, and that even extends to this new car wash. The Shipshape Norfolk shampoo is super concentrated – so you need only one part for every 50 parts water.

A small amount goes a long way, and our bucket foamed up fast, providing enough lubrication for a sponge to glide over our panel with little resistance.

It also proved effective at shifting dirt, and the formula rinsed off easily, leaving a well protected surface. But we didn’t see evidence of the beading offered by some rivals.

The wash is designed for use on cars that are treated with Collinite wax, as it claims not to strip this from the surface.

The only downsides were the strong smell, plus the fact that the Shipshape is strong enough to carry a warning on the pack about skin contact.
