Touchless Car Cover tested

If you don’t have a garage in which to work on your motor in bad weather, the new Touchless Car Cover from More Than Polish is the ideal solution. Looking like a pop-up tent, it claims to protect both you and your vehicle from dust, dirt, rain and wind.

Small hooks attach to the underside of your car to hold the cover in place, even in strong winds, and there are no metal parts that could corrode. Zipped doors provide easy entry from both ends, so you can drive your vehicle in and out of the kit.

The material is waterproof, and has been treated to give high UV resistance. But it can also be used inside a garage to keep dust off your bodywork. The cover is more than 16 feet long and six feet tall, so is suitable for large cars such as Lamborghinis and Bentleys. Some 4x4s will fit inside, too, although adjustable straps mean you can tailor the size to suit your vehicle. A security cable and padlock are supplied, while it folds into a small bag for storage.
