Kelvin.23 Multitool tested

All-rounder to roadside rescue

Kelvin.23 Multitool tested

01st May 2009

If you’re left stranded at the side of the road, you can bet that you won’t have the correct kit to fix the problem. But this new Kelvin.23 Multitool should have all the bases covered.

The first thing you notice when you pick it up is its sheer weight – you wouldn’t want to carry the product around for too long. This is down to the amount of tools stored on board – you get everything from bit sets and a tape measure to a hammer torch and spirit level.

The chunky shape also meant it was easy to grip, which was very handy when dealing with troublesome fasteners. However, the design of the internal bit holders made it difficult to remove the individual drivers.

And while the tape measure and spirit level may not be obvious choices for DIY motorists, the torch and magnet came in very handy when working under the bonnet.
