Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s the Toyota Prius!
The car’s clever hybrid technology doesn’t allow it to fly, but that hasn’t stopped Toyota using Superman in an advert to promote the MkIII model.
The ad shows Daily Planet journalist Clark Kent being dispatched to get a scoop on the new hatchback. Quick as a flash, he swaps into his caped costume and takes to the skies to scour the city for a Prius on the move. Flying above it, he uses his X-ray vision to see through the bonnet and grab a picture of the hi-tech petrol/electric drivetrain underneath. “Big news!” shouts his boss back at the office.
Meanwhile, the firm has announced prices for the new model in the UK. It will start at £18,370 for the T3, and rise to £21,210 for the T Spirit.
