Take a look at the cut-price Audi TT! These are the best spy shots yet of the Peugeot 308 RC-Z, which we've caught testing almost undisguised.
As you can see, the RC-Z looks pretty much identical to the concept which first appeared at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. Although the front lights are slightly less showy, the twin roof bubbles and head-turning proportions remain intact.
Power for the flagship version will come from the same 1.6-litre turbocharged engine found
in the Mini Cooper JCW. Producing 218bhp it should do 0-60mph in under seven seconds and hit a top
speed of around 145mph.
However, there'll be plenty of other engine choices including a 150bhp 1.6-litre turbo petrol and a diesel in the shape of a 2.0-litre HDI unit. Inside the cabin wil be very similar to the 308CC but with more leather trim and chrome highlights.
The 308 RC Z will make its world debut at Frankfurt
Motor Show in September before reaching showrooms early next year. Prices will start at less than £20,000.
