Nissan's luxury arm, Infiniti, has confirmed prices for its flagship off-roader. When it goes on sale in September, the V6 or V8-engined all-wheel-drive FX will start from £42,600 for the 316bhp FX37 GT. Topping the range is the 385bhp V8 FX50, which costs £53,800.
The firm is also well on the way to establishing its first UK dealer. It has announced the showroom will be in Reading, Berks, close to the M4, and will open in the autumn just in time for the FX’s launch date.
Infiniti plans to sell its five-car line-up from 12 UK dealers, each with the feel of a ‘boutique hotel’. To build and expand its sites, the maker has teamed up with franchise specialist Rymco UK. This firm is already responsible for the Reading showroom, and will build two more, in west and north London.
Joining the FX will be the three-model G37 range, comprising a coupé, coupé-cabrio and saloon, and the EX37 crossover. A V6 diesel will further boost the line-up’s appeal when it arrives in 2010.
