Citroen has launched a new 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine. The new unit has 240bhp, compared to the 208bhp form the last generation 2.7-litre HDi. However, increased power doesn’t mean worse fuel economy. Citroen has managed to raise fuel economy by 17per cent in the C5 and 18per cent in the C6. The new engine also lowers CO2 emissions by 12 and 15per cent respectively.
It’s also more refined than the unit it replaces –
Citroen claim it gives a quieter, smoother ride.
