While Mark Webber was busy winning his first Grand Prix, Aston Martin were busy diverting the spotlight away from the Australian driver and on to their latest car, the One-77.

A new Aston Martin store opened at the Nurburgring-Boulevard over the Grand Prix weekend with the One-77 as its centrepiece. For the first time the public were allowed a close up look at the £1.25 million, 77-limited run supercar.

The beautifully designed car, which won the Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes at the Concorso d’Eleganza, has a 7.3-litre V12 engine that produces 700hp and weighs in at 25 per cent less than the 6.0-litre engine. Light construction materials bring the overall weight down to 1,500kg, allowing the One-77 to get from 0-60mph in about 3.5 seconds and on to a top speed of over 200mph.

Unfortunately, a close-up look at a One-77 is the best you’re likely to get, with all 77 models already sold.
