Light show heralds next A8

What better way to celebrate your centenary than with a sneak preview of the start of the next 100 years?

That’s exactly what Audi did at a recent birthday event at its headquarters in Ingolstadt, Germany – releasing the first teaser images of the new Audi A8.  

Our main image of the headlamp is accompanied by a picture of the luxury car under a black cloth. According to our spies, the newcomer will feature a hi-tech cabin, complete with voice and fingerprint recognition. It will also have a limited ability to drive itself.

Under the skin will be a development of the current car’s aluminium spaceframe chassis. Combined with composite materials, this will help keep the weight to a minimum. After making its official debut at September’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the all-new A8 will go on sale early next year.
