The results are in! Eight more new cars have been put throught the gruelling Euro NCAP crash tests, and the signs are good for staying safe on the road.
Seven out of the eight achieved an overall start rating of five out of five, with some especially commendable results from the VW Polo, Skoda Yeti and Renault Grand Scenic.
The all-new Polo scored strongly across the board, but topped the group when it came to child occupant protection. Skoda's compact SUV was awarded 92 per cent for adult occupant protection, while the Renault Grand Scenic topped the class with an astonishing 99 per cent for its safety assist systems.
The only disappointing result came for the Citroen C3, which only managed four stars overall, thanks partly to scoring a poor 33 per cent in pedestrian safety.
