It’s cabin fever

Here’s to Hyundai! The firm has overtaken Ford at the top of the new car sales charts – and this first glimpse inside the forthcoming ix35 SUV shows that it intends to stay there.

These pictures depict the swooping cabin ahead of the model’s Frankfurt expo debut next week.

The ix35 will go on sale in March, priced to rival Nissan’s Qashqai and Ford’s Kuga.

Power will come from new petrol or diesel units with six-speed manual and auto boxes.

The car will be on display with the facelifted Santa Fe, which arrives in October.
