It's the car designed to take Lexus even further into BMW and Audi terrritory. Revealed at the Frankfurt show the LF-Ch (the 'LF' denoting it's a concept, the 'C' confirming it's a C-segment car and the 'h' meaning its a hybrid), is aimed at a younger age group than the traditional Lexus buyer.
When it goes on sale in 2011, Lexus claims it will only be offered as a petrol-electric hybrid, differentiating itself from the competition. This should allow, in theory, some short range zero-emissions driving in urban areas although full details of the powertrain are yet to be confirmed.
Styling-wise, the ultra-agressive stance of this concept would have to be toned down somewhat to make production. Unless Lexus is planning an F-Sport variant along the lines of the IS F that is...
