If you thought the E63 AMG was over the top, then this won’t be the car for you! Extreme tuning firm Brabus has turned its hand to the new Mercedes E-Class… And created the 789bhp E V12 Black Baron.

Fitted with a twin-turbo 6.3-litre V12, the Baron is capable of hitting 62mph from a standstill in 3.7 seconds and 124mph in 9.9 seconds, eventually topping out at an electronically limited 217mph. Although Brabus estimates that with the limiter removed 230mph is possible.

But to reach these sorts of speed the car’s aerodynamics need some serious adjustments, hence the unusual carbon-fibre wheel covers at the rear – designed to smooth airflow down the sides of the car.

Only ten examples of this road rocket will ever be made, costing an incredible £540,000 each.
