Audi's sister brand, VW, is getting in on the computer game action, too.

It’s launched a new title for the iPhone – Scirocco R 24-Hour Challenge – in which players can race the coupé on the Nürburgring. The game can be downloaded from the Apple App store, and played on your own or with others via Bluetooth.

The real-life Scirocco R has a 261bhp 2.0-litre turbo engine and a twin-clutch DSG gearbox. It covers 0-62mph in less than six seconds and hits an electronically limited 155mph top speed.

The Scirocco R will be available to order in October, with prices and specs due to be announced soon.
