Ferrari is opening up about its future plans! Prancing horse chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo has confirmed that a convertible version of the already stunning 458 Italia is on the way.
The news doesn't come as a huge surprise, considering Spider versions of the 458's predecessors, the 360 Modena and F430 have proved extremely popular, but any news about a forthcoming Ferrari is guaranteed to cause a stir.
First deliveries of the fixed-roof 458 start in mid-January, while in di Montezemolo's own words "We also plan a spider version, but not for a couple of years."
Expect to pay a hefty premium over the standard car for an 'al fresco' 458 - and with prices starting at around £175,000 for the coupe, don't expect much change from £190,000 for the rag-top.
