Suzuki mobility scooter uses methanol power

02nd October 2009

Green advances aren’t reserved for Suzuki’s cars and motorcycles.

The firm will also use the Tokyo show to take the wraps off its all-new eco-friendly personal mobility vehicle – the Mio.

This has been specifically designed to offer users improved independence from recharging stations.

Unlike conventional battery-powered mobility scooters, it employs methanol fuel cells.

These can be topped up quickly with specially designed fuel cartridges when their power supply begins to run low.
