From wacky concepts to luxury cars and electric powertrains, Nissan will have it all at the Tokyo Motor Show.
The Japanese firm is going all-out at its home event – and while one of the stars of its stand will be the luxurious Fuga, the thrust of the brand’s message is that it wants to be a world leader in the field of zero-emission vehicles, along with partner Renault.
Leading the way is the Leaf, an electric family car to be launched in 2010, and the company will also showcase forthcoming hybrid and clean diesel technology.
In addition, it will reveal its next-generation X-TRONIC CVT transmission, which improves economy by reducing friction by 30 per cent. A mini-MPV called Roox will be on display, too.
i have to say this is one of the ugliest cars ive seen in a while what are nissan doing
petrolhead94, apart from reinventing a vulgar grille they're doing exactly the same thing as most of the "edit-copy-paste" generation does.
spot the difference
Is it just me or is Nissan's attempt to show their idea of what an executive car should look like a complete rip off of Jaguar's XF? A company the size of Nissan should be trying to design exciting new ideas of what a executive car should be to make up for a lack of cudos in the name, not copying an existing, all be it attractive and successfull, design.
