The facelifted Peugeot 308 is on the prowl!
These exclusive shots, featured in our French sister magazine, Auto Plus, show the 2010 version of the Lion’s VW Golf rival completely undisguised for the first time.
It’s all change for the compact family car, which gets a striking new twin-grille look. The face is inspired by the RC Hybrid concept, revealed at the 2008 Paris Motor Show.
The additional smaller grille sits below the Peugeot badge, while new air intakes under the foglights and sharp creases running down the nose provide the 308 with a more sporty look up front. At the rear are some subtle updates, with a new bumper, fresh tail-lamps and a revised lower diffuser.
Inside, bosses are set to improve trim quality and equipment. And under the bonnet, the engine line-up will be carried over from the current range, with a strong mix of updated diesel and petrol powerplants.
The facelifted car is expected to make its official world debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, with sales starting soon after. The new look will then be introduced on other models in the 308 line-up, such as the CC hard-top cabrio and SW estate, and possibly the wider Peugeot range.

Another crunky looking French shit box!
Dude, that's nasty.
L'offensive indeed! That is hideous. Auto Express is far too diplomatic calling it 'striking'.
