Megane Renaultsport 250 prices revealed

The hottest Megane ever has landed! Renault has announced pricing and details for it's 247bhp Renaultsport hatch, and as with all Renaultsport models there's huge scope for personalising the specification and the chassis settings.

Available in two version the Megane Renaulsport 250 Cup and the Megane Renaultsport 250, the former includes a limited slip differential, firmer springs and dampers and less equipment as standard to save weight, while the latter treats it occupants to a few more creature comforts. Both use a revised 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with 247bhp and 350Nm of torque.

Despite its focused nature, the Cup model still features an impressive hoard of standard kit including cruise control, Brembo brakes and rear parking sensors, while the non-Cup model offers extras such as leather seats, climate control and automatic lights and wipers. If you want all the luxuries but with the road-holding of the Cup model, the Cup suspension pack can be specified for an additional £1,950.

Prices for the Cup start at £21,995, while the less-hardcore and better-equipped Megane Renaultsport 250 begin at £22.995. Orders are being taken from November 1, with first deliveries scheduled for January 2010.
