Here's a little car with big ideas! Daihatsu’s e:S concept made its world debut at the Tokyo Motor Show – and it clearly borrows some of its styling inspiration from the MINI, with those cheeky headlights and white roof.
The newcomer measures only 3.1 metres in length, and it certainly lives up to its name. e:S is short for eco and smart, and the lightweight 700kg car is powered by a three-cylinder 660cc engine – which should be good enough for fuel economy of 70mpg.
The firm revealed that it’s also readying a two-cylinder turbo version of the e:S. This promises to return 100mpg.
