Infiniti isn’t the only company eyeing up electric power. Suzuki used the Tokyo show to reveal a plug-in hybrid version of its Swift supermini, called the PHEV.
The concept has a 660cc petrol engine which is used solely to recharge the banks of lithium-ion batteries located between the front seats. These power a 73bhp electric motor that drives the front wheels. Fuel economy is unconfirmed, but expected to exceed 100mpg. Bosses insist the PHEV is just a study, though, with no plans for production.

I could use a car like this for nine out of ten erens i do every day. Keep up the great work.Let's all help in saving the planet earth!!!
What a pity it is just a concept, I dont understand why all the established car companies have been so slow into frugal electric cars (Prius is not really frugal). Soon the Chinese will have overtaken everyone.
